I can’t hide spoilers here, but see this comment on the NUF spoilers thread. I translated part of one of the extras for this novel there (I’m scriptor, the one with the chubby unicorn) and it answers your question. :3

Thanks so much for the update! I love this version of a “transported into a fantasy novel” genre. “Transmigrating into a Mob Character to Rehabilitate the Villain Plan” has pretty much the exact same premise, but in that book he’s just kinda plopped in the story with no explanation besides “yup. that happened.” I love how in this book the whole purpose is for him to fix the book by the system and not necessarily something he took upon himself. It makes for a very interesting plot going forward and a spin on the trope in general. TLDR: I’m super excited to see how this story goes forward.
Are you sure the title is really, The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System? Don’t you mean, The Scum Villain’s Self-Trolling System?
Joking aside, I must say! Having SQQ and LBH come into contact with each other (no matter how impersonal the actual interaction was) was really nice! Pls, more of that! And if SQQ can continue to show instances of just plain genuine warmth to LBH despite knowing that he’ll get points deducted for being OOC, how much fuzzier will LBH’s heart (and ours, the readers’) get?! Ah?!
But the most exciting part didn’t even come from the actual chapter itself…it was this!
“The system deducts some points for him just for smiling at Luo Binghe… Unbeknownst to Shen Qingqiu, he’s made an interesting impression on the protagonist with just that smile…” (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ
Lol, Luo Binghe is pretty realistic and skeptical so he takes some winning over, but you’ll see in one of the extras at the end of the novel that this was something he remembered very clearly. :3
And yes, I’ll admit that I really want to get to the fluff. It’s so sweeeeet~
Honestly, I might. Some of the extras make pretty good standalones and take place before the end of the novel, so they’ll work well as supplements to the chapters.
