Status update T~T

So my health is worse than I thought and RL just compounded it. I’m not going to depress you all with the details, but I won’t be able to update for some time. A long time (as in months).

At best, it’ll be little stuff like teasers and whatnot. So I’m going to try and work something out with someone who can take up Scum Villain translations because it isn’t fair for you all to get caught on a cliffy and have to hang on it by your fingernails because my health’s getting in the way. But worst case scenario (if no one’s picking it up), I’ll continue translating it and it won’t be dropped!

But before that, I swear I’m going to get Chapter 32 done this week, as well as some teasers/goodies I promised before but never got around to.

Sorry again everyone, and thanks for being supportive! You’re all wonderful cinnamon buns too good for this world~

*chubby unicorn hug*

  1. Dang, I hope you feel better soon! Imho, it’s ok if you just totally let go of translating while recovering, you’ve already done so much for us, I’d feel bad about putting the stress of translating on top of your sickness. *hugs back* Thank you for all you’ve done for us so far, please take your well-deserved rest and recovery!!

Take care of yourself, okay? Rest, drink some tea, find smth good to read/watch and recuperate. If you’ll find the strength to translate don’t overdo it. We will be waiting for your grand entrance.

  7. I was considering sending some homemade, virtual health and regeneration potions after your last status update (1 HP?! dangerous!!), but now your situation sounds too serious for it to be of any help :(( I really hope that everything will go well for you – with health and the rest of RL. Don’t stress yourself, please.
I wish you a lot of health, rest and that you get well! You’re the best cinnamon, I mean chubby, Unicorn ever!

  8. Oh no!! I only started reading your translations of SVS yesterday (finished all of them already, hehe;;), and really love your work, together with the others too! Please, take care of yourself, it’s more important!! When you’re happy and healthy is the time to think about giving so much of yourself again, please don’t worry about us too much.

  9. I really admire your dedication to your readers in keeping us informed despite having no obligation to do so. I’ve been down the ‘RL interfering with translating’ before and didn’t handle it nearly as well as you do. I hope the break helps alleviate some of the stress so you can focus on resting. Your health is always more important!

  17. Hopefully you’ll feel better! Take a break while you’re at it! It’s probably been burdening you a lot trying to supply the demands for new chapters and all.

If you ever do want someone to help out with translations, I don’t mind working on one or so chapters for you in the background (ofc, this is also depending on my own IRL situations, but it’s been going well so far, and I can always do with more things to add on my to-do list). If you ever do decide to ask someone for help in regards to translating, I (and if I bug her about it, my friend) will be happy to help out!

You know where to find me. And focus on getting better after next chapter update! Trust in your friendos that will help ya with updates UvU

Please take care, even though I have finished this story, I still love your translation more and want to read it.

As for translation I remember many people were interested in translating the novel, try to talk to them ? also I think it’s better to make an announcement in the forums so people can be aware of your status.

  22. It sounds like your health issues are very serious so you definitely should focus on that and rest well.

Thank you very much for taking up this cnovel and sharing it with all of us! I don’t if I would have ever been able to read it if not for you. 31 (soon 32) chapters is a tremendous effort and I can’t thank you enough.

I agree with lala that making an announcement on the novel updates forum might be a good way to find a new translator. controlpanel in the Tabel of Contents comment section also offered to help, maybe they can take over together with readerz?

I wish you all the best, on your road to recovery.

  23. Please take care of your health, and I hope you can recover soon! Speaking from experience, health issues need to be taken seriously. I really enjoy your translations, so I’ll admit there’s a bit of unwillingness to see them end, but health is more important. (I hope RL will be kind to you too. If your health is suffering, you need rest!)
Also, thank you for all the hard work!

  25. Sorry to hear your health is poor… at the end of the day, it’s the most important thing to consider, though.

If you have all the RAWs, I could try taking a stab at translating it. I’ve got tons of free time so it’s better if I do something useful with it lmao

  26. Although I really want more chapters; at the end of the day your health is more important. So please look after yourself and don’t feel like you need to release chapters for us because I don’t think anyone wants more chaprers over your safe health. 😀 Thanks for everything up till now and I hope you get well soon!

  31. Thank you for the wonderful gift of translation. Don’t worry about catching up, recovering your health is most important right now. If you feel like you are not productive while recovering, think of reading books as expanding your vocabulary and perfecting your knowledge of english so your translations improve. 😛 But really, put yourself first. You don’t owe us anything.
